Not Where, But How

Whenever I do style posts, for the most part, I'm thinking about where I got each item so I can share it with you. Something I've noticed that I really love is that I have pieces from everywhere. Thrift stores, friends, Target, TJ Maxx, everywhere. I was really encouraged by this, because it's not about where you buy your clothes it's about loving what you have and being content and grateful for those pieces. Nearly every piece of clothing I have has a story behind it and I'm reminded of a wonderful experience. I love putting on a pair of pants that a friend gave me, like the one's I'm wearing, because I always think of that friend. I love pulling out a scarf and remembering my mom picked it out for me. It's encouraging to be content with the clothing you have because then your wearing your clothes. You're clothes aren't wearing you. It's not about where, it's about how. Love the pieces your have and style them to your unique look.

  1. I love shopping at thrift stores. Might be cliche. But its me! There are two right next to each other that I go to at least a couple times a week. That's how you find the good stuff! P.S. I love that scarf!!

  2. I'm digging these pants! After nearly four years working professionally in the apparel industry, I'm a little torn about where to invest my money. I'm still figuring that out.

    1. That sounds like it would be tricky, especially having so much background and knowledge.

  3. Those pants are so cute and look great on you! I love having clothes from everywhere too. I've never been into a certain brand, so I know that I've chosen each piece of clothing because I absolutely love it and not because of its tag.

    1. I love what you said about choosing each piece because you absolutely love it and not because of it's tag! Shopping for clothes wasn't always on my favorite list, but now that I have a better understanding of what works best for my body, I really enjoy it, especially if I can get a good deal.

    1. Thanks friend! I've been thinking about outtakes. The more style shoots I do the fewer outtakes there are. I'll have to get some next time. :)

One of my favorite places to shop is Banana Republic outlet. Can't say no!

  9. Cuuuute. My first thought was, "Oh I love her outfit!" And THEN I read that it was a style post. I'm not sure what my point is. I guess.... you look like you, and you look cute, and it doesn't look like you're trying. Wait, that doesn't quite sound right either.

I hope you just take all this as a compliment.
