5 Things // Vol. 4

Frozen: Fun packages came in the mail last week, including FROZEN! I let it play one day last week during work on repeat. Yay, I'm that person. Totally made my day!
Cake: Last weekend I was on a baking kick, but I wanted it to be easy. We picked up a cake mix and icing and I baked a cake to my hearts content. And then I warmed the icing for a little to long and wasn't patient enough to let it thicken up again. I wanted to eat the cake right then, so that's what I did.
Mockingjay: Tyler and I have a new found appreciation for our library. We've been hitting it up on a regular basis and our last trip included picking up Mockingjay on audio. I have the hardest time reading sometimes, but I am awesome at listening.
Lithographs: The other day I remembered that Tyler and I have a handful of different Disney Lithographs. We have two sets of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Monsters Inc. and Mulan. I have had a hard time picking out the final art pieces for our office, but I think these will do it!
Tomato: Tyler recently finished this digital painting and we have named her Tomato. We have a lot of original art in our office put I really love this recent one that Tyler did. It's currenlty my favorite.

How was your week?!

  3. good ol frozen.....We are going to Disney World next month. Last year, this movie wasn't out so the characters weren't there; however I'm thinking my daughter (and me, secretly) are going to really enjoy meeting them :) lol

  6. I watched Frozen this weekend, too, unfortunately it was a Redbox so It couldn't go on repeat. Love all the artwork in this post, though.

  7. That cake is the prettiest little cake I've seen in a long time! Is it a chocolate cake? What kind of icing is that? I'm often impatient, too, and eat the cake before it has cooled!

    1. Thank you! It is a chocolate cake, nothing fancy. I cooked it in my bundt pan. And we covered it in lemon icing. It was so good!

  8. The artwork is so fun! :)

And, easy baking is sometimes just what a girl needs! Sometimes when I say I am going to have a baking day- it sounds really impressive- but all it means is that I am going to make box mix brownies! :)

    1. You are so right, sometimes a girl just needs to bake up some sweets! I've been thinking about baking up some brownies too, but I was thinking about finding a homemade recipe. :)

Also- your baking techniques sound like me.. every. time. Who has time to wait for sweet goodies to COOL while you're being tortured by the delicious aroma. not this girl. I support your efforts. ;)

    1. You are too nice! I was thinking it looked a little sad, because I drizzled on the icing when it was too warm. But hey, I'll take it! I have been loving Mockingjay! We were listening to it in the car and didn't want to get out.
