Friday Favorite: Meet My New Friends

There is a place out on some random road. It has the coolest old barn/stable on it. It's kind of crazy because it looks like neither, barn or stable, but that's what I'm calling it. And well I'm not sure what else I would call it, because on the land where this barn/stable is, there are two horses. I so kindly call them my new friends. I kind of want to give them names, any suggestions? A part of my slightly wants to give them Disney character names. What do you think? Good idea? I think both of them are male, so it would have to be boy names... Buzz and Woody?... No... and now I can't think of any names. How about Moose? (I just watched Step-Up 3, don't judge) okay no to that one too. How about we hold off on the names.

I love horses. I think they are beautiful. I think of them as strong gentle giants.

Friday Favorite: Flea Market Finds

Last Saturday, some friends of mine and I went to the Flea Market, well, we went to two Flea Markets.  Our scavenging began at the Joplin Flea Market, where I found a sweet mirror, Dianne and Ashley scored on some children’s books, and Caitlin found the most fabulous eye wear.  Our second scavenging location was at Connie’s Antiques & Flea Market, where I scored on some Mason Jars (sigh).

Happy Friday! : )

Friday Favorite: Red Velvet

Last Saturday a good friend of mine and I went to check out the Red Velvet Shop. I stumbled upon this blog, A Beautiful Mess, which led me to the Red Velvet Shop. When we figured out that the Red Velvet Shop was located in Springfield, we were super excited, we just had to go! So... we did!

Springfield is about an hour or so away from Joplin; it took us about an hour and twenty minutes to get to Red Velvet. So I would like to say that not only is the Red Velvet Shop a Favorite for this Friday, but super mini road trips are too!... except.  Well, see, I love road trips; I think they are a blast, but I have a tendency to get motion sick... So, I do heart road trips, just not the motion sickness part. I'm one of those people who can't do anything but ride when I'm in car, I can't read, I can't text, nothing; I just have to sit back and enjoy the ride. With all that said, let's get back to Red Velvet.

The Red Velvet Shop is located in a downtown section in Springfield and is super cute. Everything in the store is vintage and just really fun. One of my favorite sections was there Sweet Shoppe. There were super cute cupcakes and jars full of candy; so cute!

Happy Friday! : )
